It is the town people drive to from Lockerbie, Annan, Thornhill, Moffat and Castle Douglas, which means a business here is being searched for by people who are nowhere near it and have not set off yet. That is a different situation from a city business, where the customer is usually already close enough to walk past the door.
Distance makes the website matter more, not less. Nobody drives forty minutes into Dumfries on the strength of a phone number to find out whether a firm looks reliable. They decide first, from wherever they are, and then they travel. The businesses that win those customers are simply the ones that were findable and looked like a real going concern when the decision got made.

Our three year figure is £500 plus roughly £20 a year for domain renewal after the first year. One like-for-like note: pay-monthly totals usually include an email inbox and ours doesn't. Email is an optional add-on, priced on request. We do offer optional care plans from £24.99 a month if you'd rather we looked after the site. It is never required, there is no minimum term, and the three year figures above assume you don't take it. Even allowing for that, the gap doesn't close. Comparison figures are typical advertised UK prices for budget and DIY packages in 2026, and minimum terms are those the providers publish themselves. Always check what your own quote includes.

£500 fixed. We don't get half of it until you're happy.

It helps more than it would in a city, because a rural customer decides before they travel. Somebody in Thornhill or Castle Douglas is not going to drive into Dumfries to see whether you look reliable, they are going to look you up first and ring whoever seems real. What's the catch with the £500?
There isn't one. We keep the price down by doing one focused job well: a fast, good-looking site that gets you found and gets your phone ringing. £500 is the whole price of the website.
