The small print

Terms, in plain English

No legal maze. This is the whole deal, and it fits on one page.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

The deal in one line: £250 starts the build, £250 is due only when you approve the finished site, and if you're not happy you don't pay the rest.

1. The price

The website costs £500, fixed. That splits into two payments:

  • £250 deposit to start the build.
  • £250 balance when you approve the finished site.

There are no other charges from us. No monthly fees, no surprise extras.

The only thing we ever offer on top is an optional care plan, from £24.99 a month, and only once your site is finished. It is never a condition of the £500, there is no minimum term or notice period, and if you cancel it the site stays live and stays yours. We do not take it down and we do not withhold any logins.

2. The free preview, or straight to the build

Before anything else, we can show you a free preview of what your site could look like. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If you don't want to take it further, that's the end of it.

You don't have to take the preview. If you already know you want the site, you can pay the £250 and we'll start. Either way you get the same site at the same price.

If you pay before we've spoken and it turns out we can't do the job (you need something outside what we build, or we're too busy to do it properly), you get the £250 back in full. The deposit only stops being refundable once we've actually started work on your site.

3. What the £500 includes

  • A five page website (home, services, about, reviews, contact), or a single page site if that suits your business better.
  • All the words written for you, based on a phone call with you.
  • A design that works properly on phones, tablets and computers.
  • Set up for Google Search and Google Maps.
  • Your own domain name (your web address), registered for your business. A matching professional email address is available as an optional paid add-on. It isn't part of the £500.
  • Hosting, security certificate and backups.

4. Changes and revisions

Once the first version is ready, you get up to two rounds of changes included. A round of changes means you send us your list, we work through it. That's usually plenty. If you want more after that, we'll quote a small fixed price first, and nothing happens until you agree it.

5. Approval and handover

When you're happy with the site, you approve it and pay the remaining £250. At that point everything is yours: the website and the domain are registered to your business, not ours. If you ever want to move them to another provider, you can.

6. If you're not happy

Our first answer is always to fix it. Tell us what's not working and we'll keep at it, including beyond the two included revision rounds if that's what it takes to get it right. If after all that you're still not happy, you don't pay the balance, and we'll transfer the site to you anyway: you paid for the work, so you keep it. The £250 deposit isn't refunded, because it covers the work already done, but that's the end of your costs and there's no quibbling.

7. Timeline

Your site is usually live within about a week of us having what we need: the phone call done, plus any photos or logo you want included. If you take a while to send things over or come back on changes, the timeline moves with you. We'll always tell you where things stand.

8. What we need from you

  • About 20 minutes on the phone to talk about your business.
  • Your logo if you have one, and any photos you'd like used.
  • A prompt yes or no on the drafts we send, so things keep moving.

You're responsible for the facts you give us being right (prices, opening hours, qualifications and so on). We'll write it well, but we can't know if a number is out of date.

9. Running costs after the first year

The domain is included for the first year. After that it costs about £20 a year, paid to the registrar. That's the only running cost. We'll remind you before anything renews, and we'll never renew anything without telling you.

10. The sensible bits

  • We can't guarantee a particular position on Google. Nobody honestly can. We set your site up properly so it has the best chance.
  • Either of us can cancel before approval. If you cancel after the build has started, the deposit covers the work done.
  • We may show your finished site as an example of our work. If you'd rather we didn't, just say and we won't.
