Who you're dealing with

The person who answers the phone

There is no account manager between us, no sales team to get past and no ticket queue to join.

My name is Michael Sathorar. I am a sole trader working from Glasgow's Southside, trading as Savvy Website, which is part of Savvy AI. When you ring the number on this site, I answer it. When your site gets built, I am the one building it.

I work at a fixed price because I got tired of watching the alternative. A small business asks what a website costs, gets an hourly rate and a vague estimate, and then spends two months not knowing what the final bill will be. So they put it off, sometimes for years. The price on this site is £500, and it is £500 whether the build takes me three days or ten.

That means the risk of it taking longer than expected sits with me rather than with you, which is the right way round. You are the one who has never done this before. I am the one who has, so I should be the one carrying it.

  • One person builds the whole thing. From the first phone call to the day it goes live. No account manager, no sales team, no ticket queue.
  • £250 up front, £250 only on approval. If I cannot get it right, you do not pay the balance, and the site still transfers to you. There is no contract to sign.
  • Every word written for you, from one call. About twenty minutes on the phone is your entire input. No brief to write, no copy to supply, no software to learn.
  • You own the site and the domain outright. Both in your name, both transferable. Care plans start at £24.99 a month and are entirely optional. There are no monthly fees you have to pay.

How the work goes

One call, then I write it

Most people come to that first call braced for homework. There isn't any.

It starts with about twenty minutes on the phone. It is not a sales call and it is not a questionnaire. I ask what you do, who rings you, what you want more of, and what people always ask before they book. That conversation is the raw material for the entire site.

Then I write it. Every word on your site is written by me, from what you said on that call. You do not send me copy, you do not fill in a brief, and you do not learn any software.

You pay £250 to start and £250 once you have seen the finished site and told me you are happy with it. The balance is contingent on your approval because it should be. I am asking you to trust a stranger with the front door of your business, and the fairest way I know to earn that is to carry the risk until the work is done. If I cannot get it right, you do not pay the balance and the site still transfers to you.

There is no contract to sign. The site and the domain are yours outright, in your name, not licensed to you and not held hostage.

The honest part

What £500 does not include

I would far rather you read this now than find out halfway through.

£500 gets you five pages: home, services, about, reviews and contact. Or one sharp single page for the same money, if that suits your business better. Your own domain is included for the first year, then it is roughly £20 a year to the registrar after that. Hosting, the security certificate and backups are included for the first year too. Google Search and your Google Business Profile are set up before I hand it over.

Here is what it does not include. No online shop. No booking or scheduling system. No customer logins, no membership area, no app. No ongoing SEO campaign. Those are real pieces of work with real prices, and £500 does not cover any of them honestly. If you need one, I will say so on the call and point you somewhere sensible rather than take the deposit and hope.

There are care plans from £24.99 a month if you want me to keep making changes for you. They are optional, they are never required, and I do not pitch them on the call. If you never take one, your site keeps working and you keep owning it. There are no monthly fees you have to pay.

Where I work from

Glasgow's Southside, and who rings me

The price is the same wherever you are, because the twenty minute call works just as well down a phone line.

I work from 0/2, 9 Strathyre Street, Glasgow G41 3LL. It is a working address rather than a shop, so there is nothing to visit and no reception to sit in. Hours are Monday to Friday, nine until six. I cover Glasgow, Edinburgh and seventeen towns across central Scotland.

Most of what I build is for one-person and small businesses: joiners, barbers, cafes, cleaners, groomers, driving instructors, the sort of business that gets found on a phone by somebody standing in the street. If you can explain what you do to a stranger in a pub, I can build you a website.

The live work I point people at is Local Conference Solutions, a South African manufacturer whose nineteen page site I rebuilt from scratch. It is live now, it is 80% lighter than the site it replaced, and it has a quote form on every page. I should say plainly that it is my parents' business. It was a real job with a real deadline and a client who had plenty of opinions, but it was not won in open competition and I am not going to dress it up as though it were.

The three example sites on this website, Hendry Joinery, The Wee Fern and Caledonia Cuts, are demonstration builds. Those businesses do not exist. I built them so you could see the standard of the work rather than take my word for it, and they are labelled as demos everywhere they appear, because calling them clients would be a lie.

You will not find testimonials, star ratings or client logos anywhere on this site. That is not modesty, it is arithmetic. When I have some worth showing you, they will go up with real names attached.

Two fields is enough to start. You'll have your price within one working day, and a free one-page plan for your business alongside it. If the job's bigger than the £500 build, I'll tell you straight and quote it properly.

  • A free plan comes with it. One page: where you come up on Google for what you do, who is above you, and the three things costing you calls. Yours to keep, whether you use me or not.
  • I reply within one working day. Usually much sooner.
  • No obligation, and no chasing. If it's not for you, that's the end of it.
  • Rather just talk? Call or text me on 07508 750017, or message on WhatsApp.

Questions

What people ask me before getting in touch

Who actually builds the site?

I do, all of it. The words, the design, the photo work, the domain, the hosting and the Google setup. Nothing is subcontracted and nothing is handed to anyone else once you have spoken to me.

What if I don't like it?

You do not pay the second £250. The deposit covers the work already done, the site still transfers to you, and that is the end of it. No money goes back, and I would rather say that plainly than advertise a refund I do not offer.

Why is it only £500?

Because it is one focused job done well rather than an open-ended project. Five pages, written from one call, set up properly and handed over. I keep the scope tight, so I can keep the price fixed and still do it properly.

Do you actually meet people?

If you want to, yes, anywhere within a reasonable run of Glasgow. Most people find they do not need to, because the whole build needs one phone call and everything after that happens by email. The price is the same either way.

Half now. The rest only when you're happy.

That's the whole deal. £500 fixed, paid in two halves, and I don't get the second until you've approved the site.
